Use Your Smartphone to Submit Service Requests to Public Works
When you want to report a potential hazard or maintenance issue (like a pothole) to the city, you want to do so quickly and easily. Now it's possible! The city has launched "YourGov", an app powered by Cartegraph, to provide residents with the ability to submit service requests directly from their smartphone, iPhone, or tablet.
As long as you are located within San Mateo city boundaries, you can submit a request, take a photo, and send it to the city for completion. During this initial phase, a user can submit a request to notify Public Works of a sidewalk trip or fall hazard, a pothole, alert the city to a streetlight that is out, and request a sign repair. Requests will go directly to the maintenance team responsible for scheduling and the completion of the work.
