The Planning Division plans for the physical, social, and economic development of the City. This includes current and long-range planning and policy, as well as ensures compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for public and private projects. The Planning and Building Divisions work together when reviewing private development projects to achieve high quality and long-term economic growth.
