Project Description
This project proposes to demolish seven 3-story office buildings and one single-story commercial building, known as Bayshore Commons, and construct a residential development consisting of 256 townhomes and single-family dwellings on a 14.5 acre-site surrounded by S. Amphlett Blvd. on the east, S. Grant St. on the west, Leslie Creek to the north, and the recently vacated Marriott site to the south. The project consists of:
- 192 townhome-style condominiums and 64 single-family detached dwellings, including 38 affordable units for moderate income households (15%)
- Two-car attached garages for each unit (512 covered spaces) plus 56 uncovered spaces for visitors.
- 0.4-acre “Central Park” for residents.
Project Update
- The current formal Planning Application (PA-2025-029) was submitted on April 22, 2025 and is currently under review.
- This formal Planning Application follows submittal of an SB330 Preliminary Application (PA-2024-076) which was deemed complete as of December 20, 2024. The Housing Crisis Act (SB30) (Government Code Section 65941.1) is a state law allowing the project to secure development standards, fees, and regulations as they apply at the time of submission with the submittal of all required documents as outlined in the City’s SB330 checklist.
