- Bay Meadows
The Bay Meadows project is a redevelopment of the Bay Meadows horse race track facility located just south of Highway 92 off and west of Highway 101.
- El Camino Real Master Plan
Building upon a year long effort of the El Camino Real Committee (ECRC), and the City of San Mateo this El Camino Real Master Plan (Master Plan) is a vision for the future of El Camino Real south, from SR92 to the Belmont city border. The Master Plan is a framework for decision making for developers, designers, city officials, and concerned citizens interested in making San Mateo a better place to live and work.
- Hillsdale Station Area Plan
The City of San Mateo is working with the community and its stakeholders to prepare a Station Area Plan for the Hillsdale Caltrain Station and area west of the Station. The plan will build upon planning efforts previously completed along El Camino Real, Bay Meadows and the station itself to plan for transit-oriented development, creating new opportunities for a range of housing, jobs and improved/safer pedestrian and bicycle connections to the station.
- Rail Corridor Transit-Oriented Development
The City of San Mateo has conducted a study of land use and transportation issues in an area around the Hillsdale and Hayward Park Caltrain Stations. The study resulted in the San Mateo Rail Corridor Transit Oriented Development Plan.
