Credit Card Service Fee Notice
Customers who use a credit or debit card to make payments with the City of San Mateo will be subject to service fees. Companies that process credit or debit card transactions typically charge about 3.25% of the billed amount. The fee is paid directly to the company processing the transaction and is not charged by the City. Customers can avoid these fees by paying with alternate methods such as cash, check or e-check.
Recreation Fee Assistance (RFA):
The Recreation Fee Assistance Program is designed to allow access to our programs for all residents. For city residents with financial hardships, assistance is available to help offset the costs of camps. Qualifying applicants are currently eligible for either 30% or 60% fee waivers depending upon their reported income. A current application, accompanied by required income documentation (noted on the application), is needed for program enrollment. Interested city residents are encouraged to complete the Recreation Fee Assistance Enrollment Application which is available at all community centers and City Hall. It can also be downloaded below.
