The City of San Mateo has been designated as a Age-Friendly City by the World Health Organization for its commitment to being a welcoming community for people of all ages. See the community news release for more information!

Senior Center Membership

Everyone is welcome at the San Mateo Senior Center! Become a member today and receive our quarterly newsletter, email updates and more! You can become a member by:

  • Sign-up online!
  • Stopping by the front desk Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm and fill out an application
  • Download and print an Membership Form (Español) and mail it or drop off to the Senior Center (2645 Alameda de las Pulgas, San Mateo, CA 94403)

Plan a month of fun on Wednesday afternoons with your friends! Doors open at 1:45pm and cards are $1/each. Registration is required. View the current Activity Guide for more information.

Fridays at the Movies

One of the best things you can do is watch a movie in a group setting watching or hearing other people’s emotions and being able to share your thoughts about the movie. Registration is required. View the current Activity Guide for more information.
