Computers, Printing, Copying, and Scanning


Public PC computers are available at all libraries by appointment:  
Appointments can also be made by calling (650) 522-7818 Monday-Saturday 10:00AM - 4:00 PM. 

Logging in with your library card number allows you up to 50 minutes of computer usage per day. Computers have Microsoft Office (2016) products and Internet Explorer, Edge, and Chrome as browsers. You cannot download documents or software onto the hard drive but these may be downloaded onto a flash drive.

Chromebooks can be borrowed at the Accounts Desk for up to 3 weeks for San Mateo Public Library cardholders. They are not renewable.


A copier is not available at this time.


A fax machine is not available at this time.


Color or black and white printing is possible from any library computer. With your library card number, you have a credit of 45 cents per day for printing. Black and white printouts are 15 cents a page and color printouts are 30 cents a page. You may pay for your printouts with coins, bills, or credit cards.


A scanner is not available at this time.

MiFi devices may be borrowed with a San Mateo Public Library card for up to 3 weeks at the Accounts Desk. They cannot be renewed.
