Wireless Services and Printing

San Mateo Public Library offers free public wireless access in all its libraries. To access the library wireless network you will need to accept the terms and conditions to receive 12 hours of uninterrupted access. Part of the terms and conditions is the acceptance that the San Mateo Public Library wireless network is not secure.

Connecting to the Library Wireless Network

  1. Locate the library’s wireless network on your laptop or other wireless device. (San Mateo Public Library)
  2. Select the network and connect.
  3. Open the web browser and you will be presented with the San Mateo Public Library’s Wireless User Policy.
  4. After accepting the policy you will be redirected to the San Mateo Public Library’s homepage.

Wireless Printing

Wireless printing is available at all San Mateo Public Libraries.  With your library card number, you have a credit of $.45 per day for printing. Black and white printouts are $.15 a page and color printouts are $.30 a page. You may pay for your printouts with coins, bills, or credit cards.  Pick up and pay for your printout(s) at the print release terminal in the library.  Print jobs will automatically be deleted at end of business day.

Printing From a Laptop:

  1. Follow the link below for the library you would like to pick up your print job.
  2. Upload your document(s) and adjust your settings.
  3. Pick up and pay for your printout at the print release terminal in the library.

Printing from a Mobile Device or Tablet:

  1. Follow the links directly above or scan the appropriate QR code below with your device's camera.
  2. Upload your document(s) and adjust your settings.
  3. Pick up and pay for your printout at the print release terminal in the library.

Printing an email

To print an email message or attachment, select a library you would like to pick up the print job and forward your email to the appropriate email address below.
