Now you can hop on a free Caltrain Connector Shuttle and connect to SamTrans or Caltrain. If you’ve considered trying transit, then try transit for free!

The Alliance's Official San Mateo County Try Transit Program provides free transit tickets to people who are interested in trying public transit to get to work.

Simply fill out the free ticket order form on the Free Transit Tickets webpage, or call (650) 588-6170 to request an order form be mailed to your home.

Please Note

  • These tickets are good for either one $9 BART ticket, three round-trip Caltrain tickets, six one-way SamTrans tickets OR three round-trip VTA tickets
  • Tickets are for people new to transit
  • Only one ticket request per household
  • Commuters requesting tickets must work, live in or drive through San Mateo County
