City Council Strategic Plan & Priorities
City of San Mateo Strategic Plan
San Mateo’s Strategic Plan guides the implementation and prioritization of the City’s Strategic Initiatives, reflecting its values and mission. Built on extensive community feedback collected since 2018, it serves as a foundational document to advance a shared vision for the City’s future. The Plan provides a decision-making framework for City Council, aligns existing planning documents, integrates with budget and capital planning, promotes efficient use of resources, and will be updated as needed to remain responsive to the community.
