Commissions & Boards
Announcement (6/27/2018): The City Council passed an ordinance on June 18, 2018 consolidating the Public Works Commission and Sustainability Commission. The City is in the process of interviewing commissioners for the new combined Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission. The new commission is expected to be in effect in September 2018. Further information about the new commission will be forthcoming. Please note the following meeting changes associated with this change:
- July 11, 2018: Public Works Commission meeting - CANCELLED
- July 12, 2018: Sustainability Commission meeting - CANCELLED
- August 9, 2018: Sustainability Commission meeting - CANCELLED
- August 8, 2018: Public Works Commission meeting - CANCELLED
- September 12, 2018: Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission - first scheduled meeting of the new commission
Boards and Commissions are appointed by the Council to seek and hear input from San Mateo's residents and businesses. Members make recommendations to the Council based upon public input.
