Apply for Affordable Housing in San Mateo County

Looking for an affordable housing rental? To find affordable housing opportunities across San Mateo County and beyond, please visit the Doorway Housing Portal at: https://housingbayarea.mtc.ca.gov. It's a one-stop-shop for affordable rental housing and includes a common short form application to make your experience of applying for housing easier. Please check the website for housing opportunities often to stay informed.

The City of San Mateo no longer maintains a Below Market Rate Rental Program waiting list and does not process applications for affordable housing units.
