By-District City Council Election
San Mateo residents voted for City Council on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 for Districts 2 & 4 (the City's first by-district election for Districts 1, 3, and 5 was held in 2022). Voters elect candidates running in their district. Find out which district you live in.

Measure T
All voters in the City of San Mateo considered one ballot measure specific to the City. Measure T requested voter approval of the General Plan's Land Use element that focuses on height, density, and intensity limits.

Ballot Arguments
Voters are entitled to submit arguments for and against a particular ballot measure for publication in the Official Voter Information Guide. Requirements are outlined in the Election Code.
