Council Member Lisa Diaz Nash has made her home in San Mateo County for over 30 years and in San Mateo for over 10 years. She was elected to serve on San Mateo’s City Council in November 2022. Lisa previously served on the Boards of the San Mateo Public Library, Neighborhood Watch; HIP Housing; Rotary Haciendas LLC (low-income senior housing); the Baywood Neighborhood Association; and the San Mateo United Homeowners Association.  She also served on the Measure S Oversight Committee.

Professionally, Lisa’s career as a senior consumer marketer, CEO of an international clean water and sanitation nonprofit, and owner of her own marketing consultancy give her experience and skills to better serve her community. Lisa has been recognized as a Silicon Valley 100 Women of Influence, holds a Harvard Executive MBA, and a BA with Honors from Swarthmore College. Lisa and her husband have two wonderful grown daughters and a new grandson.
