Annual Military Equipment Report

On September 30, 2021, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill No. 481 into law, requiring law enforcement agencies to adopt a military equipment use policy, as well as submit an annual military equipment report to its governing body. 

Pursuant to AB 481, the San Mateo Police Department prepared a Military Equipment Policy which was adopted by the City Council on May 2, 2022.   AB 481 requires the submission of an annual military equipment report to the governing body which details information about equipment used in the preceding calendar year.  The annual military equipment report for the calendar year 2022 is below.

The annual military equipment report for the calendar year 2022 will be submitted to the City Council for consideration at their regular meeting of April 17, 2023, at which time members of the public may discuss and ask questions.  Members of the public may contact Captain Dave Peruzzaro at dperuzzaro@cityofsanmateo.org with any questions or concerns.  Also, visit the City of San Mateo’s Public Meeting Portal for information on all upcoming public meetings.
