How to Reserve a Ballfield/Athletic Facility

If you are interested in obtaining a permit for one of our ballfields, please review the Athletic Field Use and Allocation Handbook. For one time usage, or if you are interested in renting any of our courts (basketball, tennis, or bocce) a potential permittee will only need to fill out page 20 of the policy.

Submit Your Completed Application Using One of the Following Methods:

Email: Complete all necessary forms and email it to: SMFields@cityofsanmateo.org
Drop-Off: Bring all necessary forms to the Outdoor Facility Reservation Office during office hours (Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm) located at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (725 Monte Diablo Ave., San Mateo, CA 94403)

Please remember that in order to be considered for allocated field or court space it is essential that you abide by the deadlines and rules within the policy. It is also essential that all forms attached to the policy are complete.

Insurance

Field reservations may require insurance, please refer to the Athletic Field Use and Allocation Handbook.

Bocce Ball Set Rentals

Bocce ball sets are available to rent upon request, subject to availability through our Bocce Ball Court Rental webpage. Rented equipment must be returned by the next business day following your reservation and in the same condition in which it was provided. A fee may be applied for lost, damaged, or unreturned equipment.

Bocce ball sets are available for pickup at: Beresford Recreation Center (2720 Alameda de las Pulgas, San Mateo, CA 94403).

Dog Off Leash Areas (DOLA)
