Council Campaign Financing Dashboard
Our City Council campaign finance dashboard is an important part of our ongoing work to improve transparency and access to public information. This tool is the first of its kind in San Mateo County and provides an interactive way for people to easily navigate campaign finance information.
The dashboard covers San Mateo City Council candidates and follows the existing release schedule of Form 460 campaign disclosure filings. The data is current as of 2/1/2025. Please visit our Campaign Statements page for more details on reporting requirements and timing.
The dashboard includes:
- Contribution by location (City, elsewhere in County, out of County)
- Contributions by contributor type (individual, business, committee, political party)
- Individual donations of $99 or less are reported as an aggregate amount
- Total campaign expenditures to date

This dashboard is provided as a public service by the City of San Mateo; however we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information due to external factors. Please visit the NetFile portal for direct filings. The data displayed here covers 07/01/23 - 10/31/24.
**Candidates are also required to report contributions of $1,000 or more within 24 hours of receipt (i.e. Form 496, Form 497). These 24-hour campaign filings can be reviewed now on the City’s filing portal.
For more information please contact the City Clerk’s office at clerk@cityofsanmateo.org or (650) 522-7040.
Committee Campaign Statements
Ballot measures committees are also required to file campaign statements to disclose campaign contributions. There is currently no spending limit on ballot measure campaign contributions. During the 90-day period before an election, or on the date of the election, committee that makes contributions of $1,000 or more to support or oppose a ballot measure must file the Form 497 (24-hour Contribution Report) within 24 hours from the time the contribution is made.
Committee Campaign Statements for ballot measure committees can be accessed and exported through NetFile's Public Portal for Campaign Finance Disclosure. Visit Netfile to view campaign filings
To find candidates and committees for this upcoming election, scroll down to "Find Candidates and Measures by Election" and select "11/05/2024 General Municipal Election."
If you have any further questions, contact the City Clerk: (650) 522-7042, clerk@cityofsanmateo.org.
