Special Use Permit (SUP) for full demolition of an existing two-story single-family residence. Single-Family Dwelling Design Review (SFDDR) for a new two-story 2,498 square-foot single-family residence with an attached one-car garage, detached one-car garage, 874 square-foot basement, and rear-facing uncovered second floor balcony. This project is consistent with the Single-Family Design Guidelines and complies with the applicable Zoning Code requirements.

Hampton Inn and Suites Hotel
2940 South Norfolk Street
A Planning Commission study session is scheduled for January 23, 2018 for a new, five-story, 182-room/suite hotel that would replace the existing Best Western Hotel on the property.
A pre-application has been submitted to demolish the existing commercial buildings on site and construct 935 multi-family dwelling units and 32,000 square feet of commercial/retail space, including the retention of Trader Joe’s, 7-11, and Rite-Aid. The site is approximately 14.5 acres and currently occupied by the Concar Shopping Center, Shane Jewelers, and 7-11. The project also includes 3.69 acres of public and private park and recreational amenity areas.

Planning Commission adopted the Written Findings of Denial at their meeting of October 10, 2017. The applicants have submitted an appeal to City Council. The appeal is scheduled for the City Council meeting on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. A public notice postcard will be sent out no later than 10 days before the scheduled meeting.
