Strive San Mateo 2040 General Plan

Strive San Mateo 2040 General Plan

SAVE THE DATE!!!

The city is updating the General Plan, which is a road map for the city’s future (through 2040). The General Plan contains policies that will be used by future decision makers regarding topics such as housing, transportation, safety, parks and open space, and how the city adapts to climate change. Community input is a vitally important part of the process to update the General Plan.

We've already heard from the community on the Vision for the future, the ten study areas to analyze first for future change, and ideas on the types of housing, jobs and circulation infrastructure changes that are needed.

The General Plan project team are working preparing draft alternatives which will be shared at community events in March.  Please mark your calendars and make sure to attend one of the following events:

More details will be provided in the coming weeks.  Please sign up at www.StriveSanMateo.org to receive email updates when new information becomes available!

If you have questions about the General Plan, please contact Julia Klein at generalplan@cityofsanmateo.org or call 650-522-7216.

Missed out on past events? You can catch up!
The last workshop was held on Sat, Nov. 6th. Community members gathered to discuss and work in small groups to illustrate their ideas for future land use and circulation changes. Each group had different alternatives for San Mateo’s future. Access materials and videos from past community workshops and subcommittee meetings here.

Thank You!
