Developing Housing Opportunities in Downtown

Help shape the future of City-owned redevelopment parcels in downtown. A neighborhood meeting will be held Thursday, March 7 on the proposal to transform two surface parking lots into 164 units of below market rate housing and an above-ground parking garage with 164 private residential parking stalls and 541 public parking stalls. The City has partnered with nonprofit developer MidPen Housing to redevelop the parcels located at 480 E. Fourth Ave. and 400 E. Fifth Ave. At the meeting MidPen will provide an update on the proposal, schedule and design, including how the current plans reflect community input received to date. Refreshments will be available and children are welcome! The meeting begins 7 p.m. at the Main Library, Oak Room, 55 W. Third Ave. Visit the What's Happening in Development project page for more information and background on the history of the sites.

Join the San Mateo Police Activities League for their biggest fundraiser of the year!
