Help Design Your Next City Manager

We’re getting ready to look for San Mateo’s next City Manager and you’re invited to talk about what's important for this position! Join a community meeting Saturday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at the San Mateo Senior Center, 2645 Alameda de las Pulgas.

Our executive recruiter will be there and we’ll talk about what types of qualities you think the next City Manager should have. We’ll also have an online survey for anyone interested in sharing their thoughts, so stay tuned for the survey!

The City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the city and oversees our 10 departments and staff. It’s one of the few positions appointed directly by the City Council. Our current City Manager Drew Corbett is set to retire in July and we’re starting the recruitment process for this important position.
