Come Write In!
Saturday, November 16, 2019
The San Mateo Public Library will be a Come Write In! location for National Novel Writing Month again this year. For three Saturdays in November, the Laurel Room will be open all day for writers to Come Write In!, plug in their laptops and write. Join other writers on Saturdays, November 2, 16 and 30 in a silent writing room with coffee, tea and cookies to help fuel your creativity.
To sustain your writing year-round, join other writers every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., usually in the Laurel Room, for Shut Up & Write!, facilitated by California Writers Club-SF Peninsula Branch member Korie Pelka.
Step next door into the Oak Room at 3 p.m. to hear three local authors - Anniqua Rana (Wild Boar in the Cane Field, 2019), Jordan Sher (Our Neighbors, Their Voices: True Stories of Immigrant Exodus, 2019) and Thomas Crockett (Thorns in a Realm of Roses: The Henry Queens, 2019) - talk about their work and their journey to publication.
