Project Description
“Block 21” is a proposed six-story mixed-use building located on the block bounded by E. 3rd Avenue, S. Delaware Street, E. 4th Avenue, and S. Claremont Street consisting of
- 179,560 square-feet of office uses
- 111 Residential units (53 Studios and 58 1-Bedrooms), of which 12 units would be devoted to the very-low income category (15% of the base-density)
- 402 On-site parking spaces within a two-level underground garage
Project Update
- On March 2, 2023, the applicant filed a request to extend the approved Tentative Parcel Map and associated Planning Application approvals to June 20, 2026. The applicant has not requested any changes to the approved design in this extension request. A Planning Commission Public Hearing for the extension request was held on July 11, 2023 where the Planning Commission approved the extension request by a vote of 5-0. - The City Council approved the subject project and adopted the project’s Mitigated Negative Declaration on June 20, 2022 by a vote of 5-0 based on a 4-0 recommendation for approval by the Planning Commission. Please see the Meetings section below for past meeting videos and agendas.
