Project Description

“B Street South” is a proposed 5-story mixed-use building located on the block bounded by E. 4th Avenue, S. B Street, E. 5thAvenue, and South Ellsworth Avenue consisting of:

  • 17,658 square-feet of retail use for a grocery store
  • 104,554 square-feet of office use
  • 8,997 square-feet of residential use for 10 units (8 one-bedroom, 2 studios), all of which would be devoted to the low-income category
  • 221 on-site parking spaces within 3-level parking garage with ground floor and 2 levels of below-grade parking

Project Update

The City Council approved the subject project and adopted the project’s Addendum to the General Plan Environmental Impact Report and Addendum to the Downtown Area Specific Plan Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration on December 1, 2022 by a vote of 4-0 based on a 3-2 recommendation for approval by the Planning Commission.
