The current city-owned redevelopment sites consists of two parcels with a total of 235 surface parking stalls. The project is to redevelop the sites into affordable housing consisting of 164 units (148,355 sf) and an above-ground parking garage with a minimum of 164 private residential parking stalls and a minimum of 535 public parking stalls. The total number of parking spaces is not expected to exceed 715. The project also includes a 1,271 square-feet community serving space and long-term bicycle storage for 196 bikes. MidPen Housing Corp was selected by the City to develop these sites through a competitive RFP process.
