This Single Family Dwelling Design Review (SFDDR) Planning Application was filed on August 10, 2016. On November 20, 2018, a Zoning Administrator decision was made to approve the project. On November 30, 2018, the decision was appealed. Under SMMC 27.06.040, the Planning Commission shall review projects in which the Zoning Administrator decision was appealed. A Planning Commission Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. The Planning Commission voted 5-0 to approve the project. On February 22, 2019, the Planning Commission’s decision was appealed. On May 6, 2019, the City Council approved the project and upheld the Planning Commission’s and Zoning Administrator’s decisions to approve the project (4-0).

Single Family Dwelling Design Review (SFDDR) for a 422 square-foot second story addition to an existing two story, split-level single-family dwelling. A 140 square-foot first floor addition toward the rear of the building is also proposed. The existing floor area of the site including the existing one-car attached garage is 1,766 square feet. The proposed additions would add one bedroom, one bathroom, and would result in a total floor area of 2,328 square feet.
