Please join the Consulate of Guatemala in San Francisco and the City of San Mateo for a public celebration of Guatemala's rich cultural heritage through a special arts exhibit featuring one of a kind paintings and textiles, free Guatemalan food, live marimba music, and a special ballet folklórico dance performance.
ALL ARE WELCOME to attend and all aspects of the event are entirely FREE to the public.

Mayan Paintings Exhibit

A special international art exhibit will be on display at City Hall as part of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The gallery will feature paintings of three highly accomplished Mayan artists from Comité Nacional Probecas Mayas – CONAM – an organization that represents Guatemala’s indigenous artists and promotes Mayan culture abroad.

North B Street Fiesta

The celebration of Latin culture continues Sunday, September 16 from noon to 5 p.m. at the North B Street Fiesta in Downtown San Mateo. Organized by the Latin merchants on North B Street, the Fiesta includes live mariachi music, Aztec dancers, ballet folklórico and more. The Consulate General of Guatemala and City of San Mateo are also participating in the event.
