Using Public Transit with your Bike

Single-rider bicycles are allowed on Caltrain trains for no additional charge. Bicyclists must be age 12 or older. A maximum of four bicycles may be stored in each bicycle rack that is located in the bike cars, which are located on the northernmost end of the train.
The bike car is noted with a yellow bike decal on the outside. Boarding of bicycles is in the designated car and is on a first-come, first-served basis. If the bike car is full, the cyclist will have to get off and await the next train.

Single-rider bicycles of all ages are allowed on buses for no additional charge. SamTrans buses are equipped with bike racks, which hold two bikes. Two bikes are also allowed inside the bus if room is available.
