Public Works Commission

Announcement (6/27/2018): The City Council passed an ordinance on June 18, 2018 consolidating the Public Works Commission and Sustainability Commission. The City is in the process of interviewing commissioners for the new combined Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission. The new commission is expected to be in effect in September 2018. Please note the following meeting changes associated with this change:
  • July 11, 2018: Public Works Commission meeting - CANCELLED
  • August 8, 2018: Public Works Commission meeting - CANCELLED
  • September 12, 2018: Sustainability and Infrastructure Commission - first scheduled meeting of the new commission

About the Public Works Commission

Public Works Commission was established in 1972, and its purpose is to: 

  • Consider the needs of the City for public works and develop policy for construction and maintenance programs
  • Study and recommend to the Council requests from the public for public works policy and actions
  • Review traffic problems
  • Recommend actions to the City Council
