Deparment of Information TechnologyThe Department of Information Technology (commonly referred to as ‘DoIT’) is the premier provider of choice for technology leadership and service. Known for a professional and quality customer experience by anticipating, meeting and exceeding the needs and expectations of our customers, we create fulfilling, collaborative, partnership-oriented working relationships.

DoIT’s mission is to provide quality customer service through teamwork, responsive support, and a proactive approach to identifying technology opportunities and solving technological problems.

We strive to exceed our customer’s expectations in our on-going pursuit of service excellence.

DoIT supports:

  • 750 workstations

  • 200 peripherals

  • Approximately 70 servers

  • 30+ software applications

  • 850 telephony handsets

  • 950 voicemail boxes used by staff in 12 departments and 28 City facilities


The Department is a “full-service” department providing technical support services for the City’s inter- and intra-facility networks; server management; telephone and radio communication systems; City-wide as well as department-specific applications; HelpDesk troubleshooting and training; word processing; web site design and maintenance; and geographic information systems.
