The game of tennis has changed.  The rules have changed.  The way we teach the game has changed!!  With equipment sized right for kids and a methodology that ensures the development of the whole athlete, your child will fall in love with the sport.  Through our extensive development in the tennis industry, we have designed a program with a complete pathway for players of all ages and abilities.  With FUN and FUNDAMENTALS at the forefront, your child will enjoy learning the skills and tactics necessary to be lifelong tennis players.

Highlights of our program:

The Parks and Recreation tennis program is one of the largest self-contained programs on the Peninsula and is an affordable way to learn the sport. We offer several youth tennis opportunities including:

Classes & Camps:

Mini Tennis (Ages 5–7):  An introductory program for the young athlete. Fundamental ball skills, movement, and coordination exercises will be included. Learn tennis drills you can do with your child. 

Rallyball 1 (Ages 7–11):  This class is designed to engage young children in participating in tennis as a team sport while having fun with their friends and learning basic skills. The program is designed to be beginner-friendly. The format includes practice and match time. 

Rallyball 2 (Ages 8–12):  Previous Rallyball experience is required. Eight week session of rallyball matches. The format includes practice and match time. Practice time allows for the students to drill the basic skills in tennis necessary to "rally" the ball. Match play time is used to apply the learned skills in a game setting and compete. 

Junior Beginning Tennis: 
Tennis has never been easier to learn! Using new formats and a progressive games based approach, participants will learn the skills necessary to rally with the first session.

Rallyball Tennis Camps:  The tennis camp is designed to be beginner friendly and to engage young children in tennis as a team sport, while having fun with their friends and learning basic skills. The camp format includes station rotations where campers will be exposed to a variety of tennis skills and games.  A strong emphasis will be placed on Attitude, Effort and Sportsmanship.
