| LIBRARY BOARD |
| Meets 4th Monday of each month - 5:30 p.m. – Main Library Cedar Room. Serves in an advisory capacity to the City Librarian, City Manager and Council. Some of the responsibilities include: To oversee the Library department’s policies and to accept in the name of the City, money, personal and real property donated for Library purposes. One vacancy. Open until a sufficient number of applications have been received. |
| PERSONNEL BOARD |
| Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month - 7:00 p.m. - City Hall Conference Room C. Recommends rules and regulations concerning personnel matters, advises the City Manager regarding personnel matters, and hears appeals from City employees. This board was established in 1943 when the merit system was adopted for City employees. One vacancy. Open until a sufficient number of applications have been received. |
| PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION |
| Meets 1st Wednesday of each month - 7:30 p.m. - City Hall Conference Room C. Makes recommendations to the City Council on the acquisition, development, beautification and maintenance of public parks, landscape resources, public recreation facilities, budget and programs of Park and Recreation activities. One vacancy. Open until a sufficient number of applications have been received. |
| PLANNING COMMISSION |
| Meets 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month - 7:30 p.m. - City Hall Council Chambers. This Commission was established in 1921 and operates as an advisory board to the Council. The Planning Commission hears requests for: Site Plan and Architectural Reviews (SPARs), Variances, Reclassifications, Special Use Permits, High-rise Buildings, Planned Developments, and EIR's and Subdivisions. Hearings are also held on elements of the General Plan and changes or additions to zoning ordinances. One vacancy. Open until a sufficient number of applications have been received. |
