The Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder Registration & Elections Division of San Mateo County is looking for capable citizens to fill some important Election Day jobs. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of democracy in action while making a difference in your community.
- Hours: Polls open at 7:00am and close at 8:00pm. Election Officers are required to be at the polls from 6:00am to approximately 9:30pm. You will receive two (2) one-hour breaks during the day.
- Stipend: $115 for Judges and $140 for Inspectors (those in charge of the precinct).
- Training Class: You are required to attend a Training Class, for which you will receive an additional $25 provided you work on Election Day.
An additional bonus of $8 is offered to those who serve in a precinct outside of their home city and $7 to Inspectors who pick up their supplies from 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, CA.
