||A planning pre-application has been submitted for the redevelopment of the Avalon Motel. The existing Avalon Motel is proposed for demolition and construction of 12 two-story and 30 three-story townhomes with attached garages are proposed on the approximately 2 acre site.
|The project is in the Pre-application Planning phase which includes a formal neighborhood meeting and a study session with the Planning Commission to review conceptual plans for the project. The Pre-Application was submitted on August 2, 2013 and is currently under review by City staff.
The formal neighborhood meeting is scheduled for October 24, 2013 at 7pm at the Holiday Inn located at 330 North Bayshore Blvd, 3rd Floor, San Mateo, CA 94401.
The Planning Commission Study Session is scheduled for November 12, 2013 at 7:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 330 West 20th Avenue, San Mateo, CA 94403. Meeting materials can be found at: http://www.cityofsanmateo.org/index.aspx?NID=2526 .
The applicant held a voluntary informal meeting with neighbors on August 20, 2013.
