Downtown Bicycle Parking
Project Description
The recently adopted Bicycle Master Plan identified a high demand and need for increased bicycle parking in the downtown. To meet this demand, the City will be installing over 50 bicycle racks throughout the Downtown, converting 3 motor vehicle spaces to bicycle corrals (bike parking), and installing at least 12 electronic bicycle lockers at the Downtown Caltrain Station. The purchase and installation of the bicycle racks and lockers are being funded by a Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) grant and a Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance grant.
