Short Description of Work: The 24th Avenue Sanitary Sewer Relief Line Project (Project) includes constructing new pipe segments, upsizing existing pipe segments from 6-inch to 12-inch line, curb ramp installations, sidewalk repairs, and street resurfacing on 26th Avenue from Dolores Street to Alameda De Las Pulgas, on Alameda De Las Pulgas from 26th Avenue to 24th Avenue, and on 24th Avenue between Alameda De Las Pulgas to El Camino Real. The Project’s objective is to provide relief capacity to the existing sanitary sewers during wet weather events to minimize the potential of sanitary sewer overflows.
Benefits of Work: Reduce potential sanitary sewer overflows and repavement of the street surface.
Expected Impact: Short term traffic, street parking, and pedestrian impacts during construction
Project Status: Project has been awarded to Ranger Pipelines Inc. Construction is scheduled to begin July 2, 2012.
