Send a Care Package or Letter of Support
|
San Mateo’s Adopted Sons of Alpha Company, 1/327 Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division were deployed to Afghanistan last month. This is their fourth tour of duty in the Middle East.
While they are away, let us let them know we have not forgotten them. A letter or a postcard, that takes less than five minutes to write, is deeply appreciated. Please do not stop writing letters, many single soldiers have no one to write to them, and it can be pretty depressing for them at mail call. One soldier asked that an envelope be addressed to him even if a letter was not included, as hearing his name at mail call cheered him up.
Your support through writing letters and/or sending care packages will aid in the morale of this unit as they find themselves away from home and their families and continue to risk their lives.
