San Mateo is proud of the overwhelming support received from City employees and the community for its adopted troop, the 101st Airborne "Air Assault" Division - 1/327th ACO Infantry. This display of support has served to sustain and strengthen the relationship which began on March 4, 1968, when the original unit was adopted by the San Mateo City Council.
