What is the exact location of the event?
The Central Park Music Series is located in beautiful Central Park, 50 East 5th Avenue, off of El Camino in Downtown San Mateo. The stage will be on the inner central lawn (next to flagpole) close to the 5th Avenue entrance.

Where can we grab food?
You can grab some great food from the event’s food booths. Also, the City of San Mateo has a bustling Downtown. Make a day of Downtown by visiting the many shops, catching a matinee movie at Century 12 Downtown San Mateo, and grabbing some dinner at one of Downtown’s spectacular restaurants – all within short walking distance from Central Park!

Where can I park?
There is a small underground parking garage in Central Park, on 5th Ave., off of El Camino. We also have many Downtown parking garages. There is also street parking available; all parking in Downtown is free after 6 PM!

Can I bring a chair to the event?
Yes. We encourage you to bring a low-back chair or blanket.

Is this event appropriate for all ages?
Absolutely. It’s a fun and appropriate event for the entire family.

Will there be a dance floor?
Yes, in fact there are two – one for adults and one for children. Plan to be out of your seat and on the dance floor enjoying lively music.

Think Green!
We strive to be a “green city,” so we encourage you to take public transportation. Caltrain is just a few short blocks away from Central Park. Samtrans has three bus routes that run in close proximity to Central Park. (For more information, call Caltrain and Samtrans at (800) 660-4287.) Also, San Mateo has many bike routes that make getting exercise en route to Central Park easy.

There will be trash receptacles and recycling bins at the event thanks to Allied Waste. Please keep our City beautiful by using the appropriate bins for your garbage and recycling.
