Dance Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m not sure what is the right class for me?
You can purchase a Guest Pass at the center’s front desk that allows you to try a class before committing to it. If you register immediately following the class, your Guest Pass fee will be applied to the registration for the class. Guest passes are $13 for any class lasting an hour or less and $16 for any class over an hour. The pass may only be used for classes with available slots, so please check with the front desk first.
Where are the dance classes taught?
The majority of the dance classes are taught at Beresford Community Center. However, we have six locations so please check the activity guide to make sure you know the location of your class.
What is the makeup/cancellation policy?
If you miss a class, you can make it up in any of our dance offerings (with the exception of ballroom dancing). We do recommend that you have experience in a particular style of dance if you choose to attend an advanced level class as a make up. Many of our dance classes are full, so please check with the front desk to confirm there is room for you when making up a class. Also, fill out a Make-Up class form. Must be currently enrolled in our Dance & Fitness program in order for Make-Up Policy to apply.
Are there dress requirements for the classes?
Yes, many of the classes have recommendations about the type of clothing and/or shoes you should wear. Please check the confirmation text on your receipt for each class’s specific suggestions or requirements.
