Consolidated Plan/Action Plans
Required by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), the 5-Year Consolidated Plan establishes strategies for addressing the City's priority needs and identifies funding priorities for the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) programs in order to plan and coordinate community development programs in a comprehensive manner.
Each year of the Consolidated Plan there is an Action Plan prepared that discusses the proposed activities for the upcoming fiscal year in accordance with the Consolidated Plan strategies. Many of these programs are targeted to serve primarily low-income residents of all racial, ethnic and disabled populations and the City particularly encourages the participation of affected residents in scheduled public hearings and plan reviews.
