Where are my property lines? Where is the easement on my property?
You can visit the Public Works counter at City Hall to view our parcel maps. These maps will give you an approximate idea of the location of property lines, easements, underground utilities, etc. If you want the exact locations identified, you will need to hire a private surveyor.

When is my street swept?
Visit www.cityofsanmateo.org/publicworks and click on "My Street." You can view your street sweeping schedule by selecting your address.You can also call (650) 522-7300.

Where do I call when there is a maintenance problem on El Camino Real?
El Camino is a state highway and is maintained by Caltrans. For road maintenance concerns, please call their local office at (650) 358-4127. To report traffic signals outages, please call (415) 330-6500.

Who do I call to report a broken or burned out street light?
You can call the Public Works Department weekdays from 8:00am - 5:00pm at (650) 522-7300. In your message, please include the pole number, if possible, and street address nearest the inoperative street light.

Where do I call when there is a clogged storm drain or sanitary sewer line?
For immediate attention to storm and sewer line problems, please call (650) 522-7350. Phone line is open 24 hours.

Where do I call when there is a non-functioning traffic signal?
To report a traffic signal outage, please call (650) 522-7300.

To report a non-functioning parking meter, please call (650) 522-7300, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
