Scott Shaffer creates bold ceramic pieces using various firing and glazing techniques. He decorates them with feathers and other natural findings to finish the final piece. His work will be on exhibit in the library's second floor display case from August 9 through September 24, 2012.

Mary Jo St. John is a local, self-taught artist. She enjoys writing and illustrating children's books and calls her collection "Purrfect Tales" because animals always appear in her work. Mary Jo St. John's whimsical paintings will be exhibited in the First Floor Gallery from September 18 through October 30, 2012.
