Exhibit: Quilts for African American History Month

Monday, February 4

To celebrate African American History Month, the African American Advisory Committee of the San Mateo Public Library is presenting a display of handmade quilts. The quilts’ themes all commemorate African American History Month through the fine stitchery and artistry of the quilters. The quilts, including a large collaborative quilt called “From Slavery to the White House,” will be on exhibit in the second floor display case from February 4, 2013 through March 14, 2013.
