National Preparedness Month - September 2017

Disasters don’t plan ahead but you can. Become prepared with family and friends this September in honor of National Preparedness Month.

By taking small steps like making and practicing a plan, being ready to help a neighbor and becoming involved,  YOU can help San Mateo be ready.

This September, National Preparedness Month (NPM) will focus on planning, with an overarching theme “Disasters Don’t Plan Ahead. You Can.”

We should all take action to prepare! We are all able to help first responders in our community by training how to respond during an emergency and what to do when disaster strikes — where we live, work, and visit.

Disaster Supply Kit2017 National Preparedness Month Survey

In honor of National Preparedness Month (NPM), the City of San Mateo would like to know what type of personal preparedness steps you and your family have taken, and to know what kind of hazards you are concerned about. We know you’re busy so we’ve kept the survey to just 12 questions and we’re entering survey participants into a drawing for a personal emergency preparedness kit valued at over $45!
